The Wharncliffe Collection is a collection of 6 projects to make easy accessories, perfect to keep for yourself or making handmade gifts.
Projects included are:
- zipped pouches
- tote bag
- fold-over clutch bag
- zipped shoulder bag
- lingerie case
- t-shirt shopper bag.
Each project is explained step-by-step in text and images and advice on which fabric will work best. Projects can all be made to your own measurements meaning the possibilities are endless. All of the projects take less than 1m of fabric and all of them can be made by piecing together smaller pieces of fabric or using recycled fabrics from old clothes or bed linen, making them the perfect thrifty stash-busting projects!
All of the projects can be easily adapted to different sizes and can be used by men, women or children, making them perfect for gift sewing.
You can make the zipped pouch as a make-up bag, project bag, laptop case or pencil case. Make the tote bag as a roomy shopper or neat shoulder bag. All instructions include thorough guidance for inserting zips and adding linings.
The projects all work best in woven fabrics, but the t-shirt shopper is designed to be made from an old t-shirt.
If you have only just started on your sewing journey, all of the projects would make ideal beginner sewing projects.
The Rutland Collection e-book is an 19 page PDF which is sized to fit on both A4 and US letter size paper.
