This is a DOWNLOADABLE PDF PATTERN that you print out and stick together yourself at home.
This shrug is so comfortable to wear and can be super glam or relaxing loungewear depending on the fabrics you choose. Use a single jersey or even a lightweight sweatshirt fabric for a really casual layer to wear with vest and jeans or slouchy lounge pants. In a luxurious printed silk satin it is the perfect little cover-up for a night out.
As this pattern is currently free it is only available in one size. It's quite a relaxed loose fitting garment and can comfortably fit bust size 80cm to 101cm (31.5" to 40").
This pattern is suitable for woven and knitted fabrics (although the neckband and optional cuffs must be made from knitted fabric). The best woven fabrics to use are lighter weight ones in fluid drapey fibres such as viscose, silk, rayon and cupro. Choose knitted fabrics such as single jersey in viscose or bamboo for a drapey shrug, fabrics like loopback sweat / French terry and ponte roma will give a more structured look. Help with choosing fabrics can be found on the blog here.
This design is easy and will suit beginners that have just started to sew!
